NBA to have ads on jerseys by 2014?

The NBA has for the past few months been rumored to be considering puts ads on players' jerseys.  The discussion was then "tabled" shortly before David Stern announced that he will be retiring in 2014.  Stern had publicly spoken out against the jersey ads, while his deputy, Adam Silver, had been in favor.  Now a new report says that the ads are, in fact, coming and will arrive in... you guessed it, 2014.  Jump for more.

Brooklyn Nets and Marvel reveal first NBA super hero

I'm not sure what Thunder (RIP), Mavs Man or G-Man qualify as, but apparently they are NOT super heroes.  I know this because last night the Brooklyn Nets revealed the "first NBA super hero," the BrooklyKnight.  He was designed by Marvel Comics (much to the elation of Brook Lopez, I'm sure) and he is "forged from the same steel and stone as your arena," according to the comic book.  Yes, the Nets' new mascot has his own comic book.  He's a Marvel super hero, what did you expect?  Take the jump for some more about "Brooklyn's defender."

Nuggets bring Denver back to their unis

Back in the days of Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, the Denver Nuggets wore what I like to call their "somewhere over the rainbow" jerseys, with the skyline of Denver pasted over a row of rainbow stripes.

Well, in 2012, the Nuggets are bringing back these jerseys, but with a little less rainbow.  Take the jump for more.

Brooklyn Nets reveal uniforms, thanks to Jay-Z

Okay, I realize I'm late with this, but I have had quite the weekend.

Anyways, at Friday night's christening of the brand new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Jay-Z appeared on stage in the brand new Brooklyn Nets jersey.  Take the jump for pictures and more.
